U.D.O. kündigen ein neues Album für das Jahr 2011 an. Die kommende Silberling wird “Rev Raptor” heißen und soll am 14.01.2011 erscheinen. Es wurden 17 Stücke für das Album geschrieben. Davon sollen elf auf dem neuen Album zu finden sein, das bei AFM Records erscheinen wird. Wir sind gespannt!

Was zu tun ist bei uns? 

Aktiv Werbung für unsere Bands im Netz zu machen [natürlich auch das übliche Flyer-Verteilen und Poster-Aufhängen bei Konzerten, in Clubs, CD- und Tattoo-Läden etc.]. Aber wir suchen auch Leute, die sich u.a. im Designen von Online- Bannern, sowie mit Facebook- und MySpace-Seiten auskennen und diese gestalten können. Diese Bewerber werden auch bei der Aufnahme bevorzugt, genauso wie diejenigen, die direkt aus Hamburg, Dresden oder Leipzig kommen. 

Was bekommt Ihr dafür?

Freien Eintritt auf Konzerten unserer Bands, dazu wenn möglich Meet & Greets mit den Bands [das hängt meist einfach nur von der Örtlichkeit ab]. Natürlich dazu unsere Werbe-Goodies [Flyer, Poster, etc.], wie auch die Chance auf exklusive Gewinnspiele und jede Menge zusätzliche Belohnungen [CDs, DVDs etc.] bei besonderen Aktionen. Für alle, die sich am Designen beteiligen, gibt es dazu noch weitere CDs und T-Shirts aus den Katalogen unserer Partner! 

Als Bonus gibt es noch dazu, da wir neben NUCLEAR BLAST auch weitere Partner im Metalbereich haben [Labels, Veranstalter und Festivals], die Möglichkeit auf deren Gästelisten zukommen.

Endlich gibt es ein neues Lebenszeichen von der schwedischen Gitarrenlegende YNGWIE MALMSTEEN. Dieser befindet sich momentan im Studio, um dort sein nächstes Album aufzunehmen. Der Silberling soll noch dieses Jahr in den Stores stehen. Weitere Infos bald bei uns! Die momentane Besetzung der Band ist wie folgt: Yngwie Malmsteen Gitarre, Tim “Ripper” Owens Gesang, Björn Englen Bass und Nick Marino Keyboards.

Nachdem der schwedische Multi-Instrumentalist Snowy Shaw (DREAM EVIL, THERION, MERCYFUL FATE) bestätigt hatte, bei der kommenden Tour von DIMMU BORGIR den ehemaligen Basissten Vortex zu ersetzen, ist die Stelle bei den Extrem-Metallern schon wieder frei. Denn Snowy Shaw wird wieder bei THERION mitwirken!! Hört Hört! THERION Chef Christopher Johnsson komentiert: “Wir sind froh, bekannt geben zu können, dass Snowy zu THERION zurückgekehrt ist. Wir haben ihn mit offenen Armen willkommen geheißen und werden jetzt eine Mischung aus der neuen Show, die wir geplant hatten und der letzten mit Snowy aufziehen. Wir sind der Meinung, dass die Kombination beider Konzepte unglaublich ist und wir freuen uns darauf, die Live-Performance von THERION auf das nächste Level zu erheben.”

Wegen der Erkrankung von Nergal (wir berichteten), Frontmann der polnischen Extrem-Metaller BEHEMOTH, mussten alle Gigs abgesagt werden, unter anderem auch der Auftritt auf dem Summer Breeze Festival 2010. Als Ersatzband konnte mittlerweile ENDSTILLE bestätigt werden. RAISED FIST rücken nun auf den Platz von BEHEMOTH auf der Pain-Stage vor, während ENDSTILLE in der Nacht von Donnerstag auf Freitag auf der Party-Stage spielen werden.

Die Schweizer Thrasher CATARACT haben das Coverartwork und die Tracklist ihrer neuen Scheibe “Killing The Eternal” enthüllt. Sie erscheint am 24./27. September auf Metal Blade Records! “Killing The Eternal” wurde in den dänischen Antfarm Studios zusammen mit Langzeitproduzent Tue Madsen eingespielt. Sänger Fedi gibt zu Protokoll: “We’re more than happy to announce that after almost one incredible month at the Antfarm studio in Denmark our next full length is finally ready! Recording, mixing and mastering is done and we can’t wait for the record to be released!

Once again we had the honor and great pleasure to work with our longtime companion and mastermind Tue Madsen in the beautiful city of Aarhus. We spent awesome and creative days in a small house at the beach near Aarhus, watching football, eating and recording our new songs. We also shot some pics and small clips of our work at the Antfarm, which you will soon be able to see online on our facebook and myspace site. This is definitely the most heavy, intense and brutal stuff that ever erupted out of Cataract!”

Death Metal-Großmeister HAIL OF BULLETS werden ihr neues Album ‘On Divine Winds’ nennen! Erscheinen wird es am 8./11. Oktober in Europa und am 12. Oktober in Nordamerika. HAIL OF BULLETS Debüt ‘…Of Frost And War’ war ein Konzeptalbum über die deutsche Ostfront und die dortigen Kriegsschauplätze. Auch ‘On Divine Winds’ liegt ein Konzept zugrunde. Diesmal geht es um den Pazifikkrieg zwischen Japan und den USA.

Frontmann Martin van Drunen erklärt: “This time Hail of Bullets take on the Pacific War. The expansion of the Empire of Japan throughout Asia, introducing a full scale war using all forces combined. The massive strike back of the Americans, whose marines fought bravely many tough and bloody battles on now forgotten insulate islands spread throughout the whole Pacific. Which led to desperate Japanese defense tactics such as Kamikaze, human bullets and suicidal Banzai charges. Until finally, incendiary bombings brought the empire to its knees.”

Der Albumtitel ‘On Divine Winds’ bezieht sich auf das Wort Kamikaze, kami steht für “God” und kaze für “wind”.

Mit dem neuen Album „At The Edge Of Time“ ist den Krefelder Bombast Metallern von BLIND GUARDIAN ihr bis dato höchster deutscher Charteinstieg auf den zweiten Platz gelungen. Sänger Hansi Kürsch zeigt sich sehr erfreut und dankbar darüber:  Wahnsinn! Mit jeder neuen Platte nähern wir uns immer mehr der Spitze. Qualität zahlt sich eben doch aus. “At The Edge Of Time” ist ein Meilenstein in der Bandgeschichte und ich bin sehr stolz darauf, dass so viele Leute das genauso sehen. Unsere Fans sind die Grössten.

Auf dem diesjährigen „Wacken Open Air“ mussten BLIND GUARDIAN gar ihre vorgesehene Autogrammstunden-Zeit verdreifachten, bis jeder anstehende Fan seine Unterschrift ergattert hatte.
Darüber hinaus wurden BLIND GUARDIAN bereits auf der offiziellen W.O.A.-Pressekonferenz als Headliner für 2011 angekündigt.

Metal Blade Record beschliessen Zusammenarbeit mit Alan Averill ‘Nemtheanga’ von PRIMORDIAL für den Vertrieb seines Labels POISON TONGUE RECORDS! Alan Averill ‘Nemtheanga’ arbeitet ab sofort auch in Metal Blades A&R Abteilung; erste gesignte Bands sind PORTRAIT aus Schweden und DARKEST ERA aus Irland! Metal Blade Records dürfen die coole News verkünden, einen Imprintdeal mit Alan Averill ‘Nemtheanga’ von Primordial abgeschlossen zu haben. Ab sofort werden Metal Blade den Vertrieb von Alans Label POISON TONGUE RECORDS übernehmen. POISON TONGUE RECORDS hat sich im Underground bereits einen Namen als vielversprechendes Label gemacht und wird seine Position durch den Vertriebsdeal mit Metal Blade Records in Europa und Nordamerika weiter ausbauen.

Alan Averill ‘Nemtheanga’ führt aus: “so after twenty years experience in the music industry I am starting my own imprint label called Poison Tongue Records through Metal Blade Records, working in conjunction with Darragh at Invictus Productions and Cyclone Empire. The reasons are many fold and despite the confused state the industry itself is in I felt it was time to step up and make a few things happen. Poison Tongue will be underground, make no bones about it and will concentrate on a couple of releases a year together with Invictus dealing with the underground traders, Cyclone hitting the middle ground and Metal Blade taking care of the shops, main mail-orders and bigger advertisements. The first release is the BLOOD REVOLT Indoctrine album. Next up is a joint collaboration on a new DESTRÖYER 666 7″ together with Invictus Productions. Something I’m very proud to be connected with having long connections with the DESTRÖYER 666 boys, this should be out to coincide with their tour with Watain in the fall. Then we are going to begin working with fellow Aussies, and one-time DESTRÖYER 666 members, Berserker and ASSAULTER on their new album, having recruited new members this is going to crush, plain and simple. Darüber hinaus wird Alan Averill ‘Nemtheanga’ ab sofort der A&R Abteilung Metal Blades angehören und hat bereits zwei Bands unter Vertrag genommen. Zum einen PORTRAIT aus Schweden und zum anderen DARKEST ERA aus Irland.

Metal Blade Chef Brian Slagel kommentiert die Zusammenarbeit wie folgt: “We are very excited to work with Alan on this project. He has great ears and is really embedded in the underground.”

Alan fügt hinzu: “I’ll be working A&R for Metal Blade, bringing some new angles and ideas. The first of which is Swedish old school contenders PORTRAIT. When this NWOBHM 80’s magma finally spews to the surface these guys are going to be there. The second is young Irish Band DARKEST ERA who will release their debut later in the year. A heady and vibrant mix of sweeping Irish melancholy imbued with Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy, Omen and Slough Feg. Earth pagan power? Sound about right?

Die Bay Area-Metaller von VICIOUS RUMORS begeben sich ab Oktober auf Europa-Headliner-Tour, um ihre kommende, mittlerweile zehnte Scheibe, die aktuell in den “Trident Studios” im kalifornischen Pacheco zusammen mit Produzent Juan Urteaga aufgenommen wird, zu promoten. Auf dem bislang noch unbetitelten Album, das Anfang 2011 in die Läden kommen soll, werden zwölf Tracks enthalten sein, für die sich Gitarrist/Mastermind Geoff Thorpe zur Unterstützung diverse prominente Kollegen eingeladen hat: so werden als Gastriffer neben ihm und Kiyoshi Morgan auch TESTAMENT-Klampfer Eric Peterson und Brad Gillis [NIGHT RANGER, OZZY OSBOURNE] vertreten sein.
Das aktuelle VICIOUS RUMORS-Line-Up wird vervollständigt durch Drummer Larry Howe, Bassist Stephen Goodwin und den frisch angeheuerten Frontmann Brian Allen [LAST EMPIRE, MALICE, WILD DOGS].
