Nick Holmes kommentiert:

“We have recorded elements of orchestration many times in the studio over the last two decades, as many of our songs lend themselves well to classical arrangement. However, we have never before had the chance to play with a real orchestra in a live situation, so it was very exciting to have the opportunity to play with the Plovdiv Philharmonic and doing that in such a prestigious location as the Roman theatre.”

Die Symphony erscheint als CD+DVD deluxe edition mit 48 page booklet und 2LP+DVD mit 16 page booklet.

Die Kings Of Thrash Metal SLAYER kommen gegen Ende des Jahres auf Deutschland Tour, um ihr neues Album “Repentless” den Fans vorzustellen. Das Album hat am 11. September via Nuclear Blast das Licht der Welt erblickt. Nun wollen King, Araya und Co. Deutschlands Konzerthallen in Schutt und Asche legen, was ihnen auch sicherlich gelingen wird.  Mit im Gepäck haben sie die US-Thrasher ANTHRAX, sowie KVELERTAK aus Norwegen. Anno 1995 veröffentlichte die Angstfabrik ihren Meilenstein „Demanufacture“ und setzten ihre Duftmarke für Musik zwischen Menschen und Maschinen. Hätte die Band ihren kreativen Durchbruch in diesem Jahr erst geschafft, würde er den Titel „Genexus“ tragen.

Der langjährige Drummer der englischen Dampframme BOLT THROWER Martin “Kiddie” Kearns ist am 14. September im Schlaf verstorben. Die Band veröffentlichte folgendes Statement:

“With the heaviest of hearts, and still numb from shock, we have to share the very sad news that on Monday 14th September Bolt Thrower lost our powerhouse drummer, Martin ‘Kiddie’ Kearns.

After the first rehearsal for our upcoming tour of Australia, Kiddie suddenly felt unwell which continued throughout the night, and the next day he passed away peacefully in his sleep.

He was a fantastic Dad, husband, son, friend, but to us he was always ‘Kiddie’, the same 17 year old Coventry kid whose drumming style and personality blew us away when he first walked into our rehearsal room 20+ years ago.

Kiddie enriched our lives, and the Bolt Thrower sound. He leaves a massive hole in the lives of everyone who knew him and will be very sorely missed by many.
